Для внешних работ
Подходят пиломатериалы с естественной устойчивостью (лиственница) или кропотливо обработанные составами для высокой защиты от воды.

Для работ внутри помещения
Применяют более мягенькие и дешёвые породы, но с неплохой влажностью и без очевидных дефектов.
